An ambitious project along San Juan Bay in Puerto Rico transformed decaying pier structures into a vibrant amenity for residents and tourists alike. Bahia Urbana was designed by CSA Group Architects and 505Design for The Government of Puerto Rico.
PLM Architecture was brought on to the team to provide on-site art direction, material selection, fabricator review and construction review. Structures, landscaping, hardscape, fountains and furniture were all key elements of this project. Sadly, much was damaged by Hurricane Maria. Rebuilding efforts are ongoing in Puerto Rico and Bahia Urbana remains a vibrant entertainment venue and tourist destination.
